Cue Makeover Series Have you been trying to get your music placed on TV shows, films, or commercials but you’re just not having any luck? Almost always the reason is that your music tracks have structural, compositional, and presentation issues that make them unusable for TV and film placements. This is not uncommon – a huge amount of submissions I receive get rejected quickly. Cue Makeover Series Recently I’ve started a Cue Makeover series where I review composer’s music cues or songs and help them correct what is wrong in terms of production quality, structure, arranging and sound sample quality. In addition to this site, I run Audio Addiction Music Library, a successful production music library with tens of thousands of placements over the years. I’ve had a first-hand look at hundreds of composer submissions, and I’ve worked with many of these composers and songwriters to get their tracks optimized for placements. Here’s how it works: I choose the cue with the most promise and then walk them through the whole process of how to revise and hone it. I give pointers on how to improve it, and then have them make the necessary changes.
